CELL WORK OUT- Getting fit in YOUR space – doing it MY way – A remarkable true story of human determination and overcoming the odds.

L.J. Flanders, Author of CELL WORKOUT:

Getting fit in YOUR space – doing it MY way

L J is the author of The Cell Workout, an ingenious training manual based on body weight exercises performed in limited space. “I started writing the book whilst locked in a cell for 23 hours a day, on remand, at Pentonville prison,” he explains.

In 2011, Flanders was sent to Pentonville to await trial after being involved in a fight. In his cell he began performing basic exercises in a bid to get into shape and combat the boredom. When he was released he got a job with Virgin gyms and eventually he put pen to paper, thinking of various exercises for each body part, writing the descriptions and drawing the diagrams. This lengthy process would eventually become the blueprint for his book CELL WORKOUT. Initially he self-published and it is now published in 27 countries by Hodder & Staughton.

LJ’s talk will begin at 7.00pm
